We design swimwear for women who don't separate their style from their strength. Pieces made to move with you, from the beach to wherever the day takes you. Every decision we make, from the fabrics we source to the factory we work with, is rooted in doing things the right way.

HOW IT STARTED.
It started with a frustration most women know well. Not being able to find the thing that actually works.
Erika Seiko Togashi had spent years designing for some of the most respected names in the industry. Patagonia. The North Face. J.Crew. Deus Ex Machina. She knew what good design looked like. She also knew what was missing.
A swimsuit that stayed on. That moved with you. That was made with real materials by people paid fairly to make it. That looked as good as it performed.
She couldn't find it. So she built it.
"I spent so much time looking for a perfect simple swimsuit. One that made me feel confident, was style driven, actually stayed on, and was made from sustainable materials. Frustrated by the lack of options, I started to design and produce my own swimwear and SEPTEMBER was born."

SEPTEMBER is produced in partnership with a female led factory in Bali. Women shape this brand at every stage, from the first sketch to the finished piece.
Our factory teammates are paid a living wage well above the Indonesian cost of living, receive food allowances and overtime pay, and many have been part of the team for over 20 years.
That's not a statistic we throw around lightly. It's the standard we hold ourselves to.
WHY WE SHOW UP.
We make swimwear for women who actually use it. Pieces built to last, designed to fit, and made to move with you whether you're in the water or nowhere near it.
No overcrowded prints. No unnecessary details. Just clean, considered design that does exactly what it's supposed to do.
We've never been interested in how well you perform. We're interested in how you feel when you do.
MADE FROM SOMETHING REAL.
Our fabric is sourced from Italy and made from 78% ECONYL® regenerated nylon, a material created from reclaimed waste including discarded fishing nets pulled from the ocean.
We produce in small runs on purpose. Less waste, more intention. Our packaging is recycled and compostable, and every suit is built to last because the most sustainable thing you can own is something you never have to replace.
IF IT DOESN'T HOLD UP, NEITHER DO WE.
Every SEPTEMBER suit is tested in real conditions before it ever reaches you. In the water, on the board, through the kind of movement that exposes every flaw. If it doesn't hold up, it doesn't go out.
