Sumatra Night/Salt Eco Rib Surf Suit

Suit fits true to size and feels perfect in the Honolulu summer ocean! I hope it lasts forever!

I love the suit! The fabric feels lovely against the skin, dry or wet, and I adore that it has full coverage for the neck and hands. The bottom also usually stays in place while surfing-minimal adjustments needed. I am in between sizes S/M. 5’6”, 135 lbs 35” bust-35.5” hip which on the size chart is an extra small/small but I’m sometimes a medium often because of my frame. (Short waist but broad shoulders and long arms/legs) In the scorpion rash guard I got the medium and it fits well. For this surf suit small fits well around the bust and hip, but I probably could’ve used an extra half inch in the sleeve to fully cover the backs of my hands. The one concern I had was when I was doing the “shimmy” to get it over my hips I could hear stitches ripping in the waistband, so I worry about the quality and the top and bottom separating in the future. It fit great once it was on and was not restrictive, but sizing needs to take into account for a piece like this that it does have to go over your hips so the waist needs to be stretchy enough to make it over that part of you without self-destructing.
Also, a zipper “garage” or tab to keep the zipper in place would be useful. Without a keeper, the zipper tends to come open by a few teeth and then those teeth get caught in your hair so your head gets stuck for a second. It’s mainly annoying if you’re out on a rough day and turning your head often to check the incoming sets and your drift against the beach. A small annoyance and perhaps the price we pay for having good neck coverage, which is one of the reasons I bought this suit and not one of the other iterations out there. I would also be interested in a version of this suit that has legs that go down to below the knees to provide top of the thigh coverage while sitting on the board. (One of my aunts just passed from skin cancer, and while I still love the sun, I like to be in control of how much sun I get and also not have to slather on a bunch of sunscreen that won’t stay on in the water anyway!)

I love my Sumatra surf suit! It is so flattering, and I never, ever need to adjust it in the water. I feel protected from the sun alll the way up to my neck and I can roll the sleeves up or down depending on how I'm feeling. It's just the right cut in the back. I forget I have it on and feel super confident and balanced on my board - the two layers of fabric don't slide around when I'm turning to catch a wave, as I've experienced with some other surf suits. So grateful to have found this - it is my daily companion in the water, so well made and looks great. Thank you, September!!

I luv e in Costa Rica and this suit is perfect for my sunrise surf sessions…and any of my surf sessions. I love it. It stays in place and it’s super comfortable. It fits really well.

The fit and coverage of this suit makes it perfect for surfing and playing on the beach. I love not having to worry as much about sun protection for my top be because the neck and and arms are covered. The material is soft and so comfortable. When surfing everything stays in place. And it's just a cute suit as well! It's my go to suit.

I have not taken this down to warm waters but will in a few weeks. can't wait to give it a try down in Baja in June.

Great colors and definitely quality material! The cut is super cute, but is for those with small torsos and larger bottom--like an hourglass figure--so take into consideration with sizing. I'm usually a small, but am returning because I would need a medium (5'5", ~130lbs, but I have a straight figure--bottoms fit great, but too small in waist and shoulders).

I’m on a surf trip in Indonesia and have been surfing in the Baja suit non-stop! My favorite thing about the design is that I haven’t had to adjust it AT ALL while surfing, even in big surf. The high neck is awesome for sun protection and the suit fits nice and snug.

I wore this suit on a surf trip to Baja and it was perfect for sun protection and surfing in 75 degree water. As a mom of 3 it’s hard to find a suit that is both flattering, functional and protective. I love the cut of the butt and the high neck. The material is also very high quality and doesn’t slip around while surfing. I’d buy this in every color!
